Die Burka-Bilder folgen einer eigenartigen Logik. Dabei handelt es sich um handgefertigte Miniaturbilder im Format 3×3 Einheiten. Ein Bild kann eine große Anzahl solcher Elemente enthalten, normalerweise zwischen 2000 und 10000. Die Bilder sind in erster Linie flach, aber mit etwas Kreativität und Intuition können aus den flachen 3×3-Elementen auch dreidimensionale Werke entstehen. Diesem Gedanken bin ich in meinen Objekten nachgegangen und habe dabei Neuland betreten. Dort verweile ich, bis der Entdeckergeist gesättigt ist.
The burka images follow a peculiar logic. They are handmade miniature pictures in a 3×3 unit format. A single image can contain a large number of such elements, typically ranging between 2000 and 10000. Primarily flat, these images can also be transformed into three-dimensional works with a touch of creativity and intuition. Die Geschichte zu „Adam*&avE*“
Die Geschichte zu „Adam&avE“ ist mir im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes zugeflogen. Ich fand sie, im Tode vereint, in einem Eimer voll mit Regenwasser. Die Natur hat es so eingerichtet, dass das Weibchen dem Männchen folgt, oder war es umgekehrt? Ich kann es nicht mit Bestimmtheit sagen; auf jeden Fall war die Folge tödlich! Die Szene hat mich gerührt. Ich fühlte eine gewisse Verantwortung. Hätte ich den Eimer leeren sollen? Nein, so etwas passiert und lässt sich nicht vermeiden! Wie so oft gibt die Geschichte den Verlauf der Erzählung vor, so wie bei Adam und Eva. Hätten sie nicht…? Dann… Zugegeben, ich hatte die Gelegenheit, beide Körper aus nächster Nähe zu betrachten und konnte so viele Details wie nie zuvor erkennen. Da lagen sie, still und leblos, ein Weibchen und ein Männchen aus der Familie der Schröter, Lucanus cervus, der Hirschkäfer, mit Gefolge. Dieser Situation konnte ich mich nur mit künstlerischem Tun nähern. So entstanden die zwei Bilder „Adam“ und „avE“.
The story of „Adam&avE“ literally flew to me. I found them, united in death, in a bucket full of rainwater. Nature has arranged it so that the female follows the male, or was it the other way round? I can’t say for sure; in any case, the episode was deadly! I was moved by the scene. I felt a certain responsibility. Should I have emptied the bucket? No, it happens and it can’t be avoided! As is so often the case, the story dictates the course of the narrative, as with Adam and Eve. Shouldn’t they have…? Then… Admittedly, I had the opportunity to look at both bodies up close and was able to recognise more details than ever before. There they lay, still and lifeless, a female and a male of the beetle family, Lucanus cervus, the stag beetle, with their entourage. I could only approach this situation through artistic endeavour. This is how the two pictures „Adam“ and „avE“ were created.
La storia di „Adam&avE“ mi è letteralmente volata addosso. Li ho trovati, uniti nella morte, in un secchio pieno di acqua piovana. La natura ha fatto in modo che la femmina seguisse il maschio, o era il contrario? Non posso dirlo con certezza; in ogni caso, l’episodio è stato micidiale! La scena mi ha commosso. Ho sentito una certa responsabilità. Avrei dovuto svuotare il secchio? No, questo succede e non si può evitare! Come spesso accade, la storia detta il corso della narrazione, come nel caso di Adamo ed Eva. Non avrebbero dovuto…? Poi… Certo, ho avuto l’opportunità di osservare entrambi i corpi da vicino e ho potuto riconoscere più dettagli che mai. Erano lì, immobili e senza vita, una femmina e un maschio della famiglia dei coleotteri, Lucanus cervus, il cervo, con il loro seguito. Non potevo che affrontare questa situazione con uno sforzo artistico. Ecco come sono state create le due immagini „Adam“ e „avE“.
Der Bruch!
Als Bruch wird etwas bezeichnet, das unwiederbringlich in einen neuen Zustand eintritt. Es stellt dann etwas Neues dar, anders als vorher, obwohl es auf demselben basiert, was vorher war. Es erfordert eine neue Zuordnung zu den Dingen, die da sind; es kommt als etwas Neues hinzu und muss neu gedacht und mit Bedeutung versehen werden.
A break is something that irretrievably enters a new state. It then represents something new, different from before, although it is based on what was there before. It requires a new assignment to the things that are there; it is added as something new and must be rethought and given new meaning.
Una rottura è qualcosa che entra irrimediabilmente in un nuovo stato. Rappresenta quindi qualcosa di nuovo, diverso da prima, anche se si basa su ciò che c’era prima. Richiede una nuova assegnazione alle cose che ci sono; si aggiunge come qualcosa di nuovo e deve essere ripensato e dotato di un nuovo significato.
