Jahrhundert der Begriff solidarité, der eine rechtliche Mitverantwortung bedeutete – etwa im Sinne einer gesamtschuldnerischen Haftung. Im weiteren Sinne wurde daraus das Prinzip, füreinander einzustehen, vor allem in gesellschaftlicher und politischer Hinsicht.
